Our Vision

Our vision is to be a people sold out for:

Serving and seeking God.

First, what does it mean to SEEK God? We SEEK God in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus is how we know God. We "see" him, or "behold" Jesus by faith in order to know, worship, and love God. The more we see of his forgiveness, the more we love him. And the more we love him, the more we live for him and serve him. We admit that none of this can happen in our own stength and wisdom, but only by the work of the Holy Spirit.

  • Romans 10, "Faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ."
  • Luke 7:47, "Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven—for she loved much. But he who is forgiven little, loves little.”
  • 2 Corinthians 3:18, "And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit."
  • 1 John 3:2, "Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is."
  • John 16:13, "When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come."

Second, what does it mean to SERVE God? We SERVE God with our lives -- both in the church and in our day-to-day lives. We serve him by being compassionate, loving, and devoted messengers, or ambassadors of the Gospel. We do not serve God in isolation, but in the context of a healthy, God-centered church. Again, this is not self-empowered external religion. True Spiritual service only happens because of the Holy Spirit.

  • Mark 10:43-45, "But it shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, [44] and whoever would be first among you must be slave of all. [45] For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
  • 1 John 4:8, "Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love."
  • Romans 12:5, "We, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another."
  • John 13:35, "By this all people will know that you are my disciples, by your love for one another."
  • Matthew 5:14, “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden."

Our Latest Prayer Requests:

In August of 2015 we partnered with Anchored in Truth Ministries. Who woul've thought?! A family from Nazareth, PA and a church from Muscle Shoals, AL would partner together for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the glory of God? But God brings people together for his purpose; all credit to him.
